2021 MAY 05 (NewsRx) - By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Disease Prevention Daily - Current study results on Restenosis have been published. According to news reporting out of Hebei, People's Republic of China, by NewsRx editors, research stated, "Carotid angioplasty and stenting have developed into reliable options for patients with carotid stenosis. However, postoperative restenosis remains a serious and unresolved problem." Financial support for this research came from Cangzhou Science and Technology Plan Project. Our news journalists obtained a quote from the research from Cangzhou Central Hospital, "Restenosis is partly caused by the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells. As certain long non-coding RNAs (IncRNAs) affect cell proliferation and migration, the present study aimed to investigate them as novel biomarkers for restenosis development and to further reveal the potential underlying mechanisms.
