Yangzijiang signs contracts for 31 vessels worth $1.7bn

CHINA’S Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has secured contracts worth a total of $1.74bn to build 21 container vessels and 10 bulk carriers. The containership newbuildings are for a quartet each of 15,000 teu, 11,800 teu, 2,600 teu and 1,800 teu units, and a quintet of 12,200 teu vessels, the Singapore-listed shipbuilder said without naming the shipowners.
