Integrating a co-rotating twin-screw extruder in an injection moulding machine opens up new perspectives for the direct processing of plastics in the form of raw material components plus additives and/or fillers and/or reinforcing materials. This then gives the processor greater freedom during processing and greater flexibility when it comes to improving both the component structure and the quality of the moulded part, as well as demonstrably lower production costs.
