I've been with The Management Recruitment Group for nearly a year,prior to that I was with a niche recruitment firm servicing the wider infrastructure sector.I had a 7 year stint in South Africa,working closely with a number of heavy civils contractors. Some markets have been more affected than others,although the majority of firms in the infrastructure sector are still short of skilled professionals.It's a patchwork effect,with some industry sectors bearing the brunt of the downturn whilst others seem relatively unaffected. The recruitment consultants who are primarily servicing companies that tender in the open market are feeling the affect of the market far more than consultants who work with companies that have framework agreements in place with their clients.
