Birse, Jackson Civil Engineering and Edmund Nuttall have returned bids for a ￡1 million job to carry out road surfacing and landscaping at Haddenham Business Park in Buckinghamshire. The scheme for developer Landmatch also includes laying kerbs and is due to start in September and be on site for five months. Graham, Carillion, RJ McLeod and Balfour Beatty returned bids for a ￡15 million deal to build a stretch of road at Kirkintilloch. Work on the job for the Kirkintilloch Initiative is due to start next month and run for 21 months. The project will be supervised by White Young Green and includes one 3.7-km section of single carriageway, another 7.3-km stretch of road, upgrading two roundabouts, two new roundabouts and a traffic signals.
