Ringway Infrastructure Services is IHE Employer of the Year

Ringway's trainee highway worker scheme specifically targets candidates who would, in all probability, not enter construction at all. Launched in 2005 with Chris Bean, then at Lincoln College and now a partner in Gates MacBain, the scheme recruits "NEETS" - young people not in education or training between the ages of 16 to 24. The youngsters are put through a nine month programme - 3 days a week at Lincoln College plus practical work, aiming for a level 1 Construction Diploma. Ringway has appointed a dedicated trainer who is assisted by six team leaders who deliver she practical skills.
