Local authorities in the fast lane

Local authorities across the south east are leading the way to better procurement of highways professional services with the recent launch of the first truly collaborative contract in this field in the south east - the new IESE Highways Professional Services Framework 2010-2013. Improvement and Efficiency South East (IESE) is one of the nine Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnerships in the UK and is working on behalf of the 74 authorities across the south east. Hampshire County Council has been leading lESE's construction and asset management projects since 2005. Its buildings-related contractual arrangements have benefitted many authorities saving ￡28 million in total so far.
