Milling makes use of existing materials

Reusing existing materials is an increasing priority when specifying road and utility works. Budgetary constraints and sustainable targets are driving factors but it also makes good business sense to save resources by reclaiming materials that are ready to hand whilst still maintaining quality of output. One such method is Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) where the existing asphalt is milled (with or without additives) into a proportion of the road base to form new homogenised material that can be reused in-situ as a new high quality road base.
