Cemex, Murphy and Tarmac returned bids on August 24 for a ￡600,000 package to resurface a stretch of the A15 at Leasingham in Lincolnshire for the county council. A decision is imminent with work expected to start on site next month and run for five months. Carillion, Graham, RJ McLeod and Balfour Beatty are chasing a ￡15.4 million contract for Transport Scotland to carry out improvements to a stretch of the A75 at Dunragit in Newton Stewart, Dumfries ft Galloway.
