In the June 2013 spending review, the Government outlined ￡28 billion of investment to be spent on the UK's road network, including bridges. And when this investment does translate into tangible projects, delivering a high quality road network quickly and efficiently will play a significant role in stimulating economic growth. However, with the constant flow of traffic, vibration and movement, it is vital to ensure that the UK's road bridges are designed and built to last.
