Part two Watching the detectors

In part one of this article (SMART Highways Vol 1 No 1) I introduced the concept of the Kl series radar that is capable of detecting vehicles to a maximum range of 450m. The primary target market for the Kl series radar is undoubtedly in Vehicle Activated Sign (VAS) applications, a competitive market with sign manufacturers competing for the same tenders with seemingly similar products. This makes it especially difficult for these companies to differentiate themselves from one another - cost and technical advantages can bring big rewards to these customers.
