THE heavy-handed lockdown measures imposed in Shanghai have paralysed several leading Chinese shipyards, raising the prospect of serious delivery delays.Industry sources said Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, Jiangnan Shipyard and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, whose main production facilities are based on the city's Changxing Island, have had their operations halted since the middle of March, when a draconian set of coronavirus control rules were imposed against the backdrop of a surging number of local positive test cases.
