Gazprom no longer owner of German subsidiary

RUSSIA’S Gazprom is no longer the owner of its German trading arm Gazprom Germania as well as its London-based subsidiary Gazprom Marketing & Trading, the company announced in its Telegram channel on April 1. The company confirmed it had “terminated its participation” in the assets in a brief statement, without providing an explanation for the move or saying who the new owner was. Based in Berlin, Gazprom Germania lists its main business areas as storage, trading and the supply of gas as a fuel for road transport and shipping. Its key subsidiaries are Wingas, which supplies around 20% of German gas demand, and Gazprom Market & Trading, which has a number of divisions in various countries, with its main operation being gas supply in the UK.
