Aviva sells Botswana coal project to African Energy Resources

London—ASX-listed resource development company Aviva Corporation said Monday it had entered into an agreement to sell its Mmamantswe thermal coal project in Botswana to ASX-listed African Energy Resources for A$3.5 million ($3.6 million). The agreement is subject to approval from Aviva’s shareholders, African Energy completing due diligence on the project by May 3 and fundraising to finance the acquisition, and the execution of the binding sale documentation.
