AGM-84 Harpoon

Harpoon is a ship- (RGM-84), air-(AGM-84) and submarine-launched (UGM-84) antiship missile. Prime manufacturer of the missile is Boeing (formerly Boeing Missile Systems Co.), and the missile is in service with the US Navy, as well as 28 export clients. More than 6,000 missiles have been delivered to all users, with over 2,700 being exported. The total Navy program quantity was 3,698, and export orders to date are over 3,000. US procurement of the RGM-84 and UGM-84 were completed in FY89 and subsequent US procurement has been for the related AGM-84E SLAM variant (see separate report in Air-to-Surface section). Production of the AGM-84, RGM-84 and UGM-84 continues for export, and about half of production to date has been for export.
