Prices to go up in April

TMK and ChelPipe left prices for 57-159 mm seamless pipes (GOST 8732(31)) unchanged in March.Given steadily strong demand for seamless pipes in the Russian domestic market, production went up by 4% year-on-year in January-February, with capacity utilization being nearly at maximum. In February, seamless pipe output amounted to 294,700 t (down 2% month-on-month), including 174,700 t of high-profit products (up 1%). High order intake is attributed to effective long-term contracts with Russian oil and gas companies.
