Russia: sections prices to rise inevitably as rouble gets weaker

Mills' sections prices changed differently in March. MMK and EVRAZ rolled over February offers amid rather high initial prices and a relative balance between demand and supply. Meanwhile, NLMK-Long Products increased prices by 2-3% to bring them closer to the level of the integrated mills. CherMK slashed prices for March volumes of angle by 5% due to fierce competition and low relative profitability of rebar sales. Given the dominant share of MMK and EVRAZ in the sections market, Metal Expert will keep basing its forecast on these mills' prices.
