LANGFANG CITY IN HEBEI TO FULLY SHUT DOWN STEELMAKING CAPACITY IN 2019

Langfang city will completely eliminate steel and ironmaking capacities by the end of 2019, following the three-year plan of Hebei province to curb air pollution and to optimize capacity. Langfang city in Hebei province, the biggest steelmaking hub in China, will fully eliminate steelmaking capacities by the end of 2019, said the city authorities in the document on December 10. Such measures are in accordance with the three-year-plan released by Hebei province government in August this year. According to the document, by 2019 year all iron and steelmaking capacities will be eliminated in Langfang and Zhangjiakou cities.
