GFG Alliance has signed two contracts with total cost of USD 432 million within the concept plan for the transformation of the Whyalla Steelworks in Whyalla, South Australia, Metal Expert learnt from company’s announcement. The first contract implies design and supply of state-of-the-art rail and structural heavy section mill by Italy’s Danieli. The second one was signed with China’s CISDI Engineering for supply Pulverised Coal Injection plant. The projects are expected to complete over three years, enabling the producer to increase productivity, reduce costs and introduce new product range, opening up new markets and customers.
