TATA STEEL KALINGANAGAR TO COMPLETE PHASE II DURING FY 2021-2022

India’s Tata Steel proceeds with the expansion of its Kalinganagar Works in Odisha from current 3 mil- lion tpy to 8 million tpy and plans to complete the project during 2021-2022 fiscal (April 2012 – March 2022), Metal Expert learnt from the company’s annual report. According to the source, the project requires financing in the amount of INR 235 billion (approximately USD 3.2 billion). It will enable to strengthen the company’s position in the high-end value-added segments such as automotive, infrastructure and other sectors.
