Complex down on Us-china tension

Base metal prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) fell in the official morning session today amid increased tension between the US and China. The three-month LME copper contract and Comex’s next most active month copper contract both fell by 1.5pc to close at $6,604/t and $2.98/lb, respectively. Three-month LME aluminum dropped by 2pc to $1,779/t, while the three-month LME nickel contract decreased by 3.1pc to $15,184/t.
