China: FeSi prices rise on tight supply

Prices for ferro-silicon moved up slightly on tight spot alloy availability, while prices for ferro-chrome and manganese alloys fell in response to sufficient supplies and weak demand from steelmakers. Argus assessed the range for 50pc grade alloy lower at 5,950-6,250 yuan/t ($850-890/t) ex-works today from Yn6,000-6,250/t ex-works on 2 July, pressured by higher run rates at alloy producers.
