Destocking pressures Chinese gallium prices

Market participants expect Chinese gallium prices to decline further in the near term as suppliers continue to offload stocks. Prices for 99.99pc grade gallium metal were last assessed at 2,200-2,250 yuan/kg ($339-347/kg) ex-works on 27 April, down by 12.75pc from Yn2,500-2,600/kg on 16 March. Prices were last highest in May 2012.
