Mining companies shift to renewable supply

Demand for renewable electricity supply is increasing rapidly from the mining sector, one of Chile’s largest power consumers. And there is potential for further growth, with copper and lithium production expected to increase in the coming years. The government expects renewables to supply 60pc of the sector’s electricity by 2023.
