Markets mixed ahead of China holiday

Base metal prices were again mixed in official trading on the London Metal Exchange today, with China planning to release the next batch of metal stocks from its national reserves when investors return to the market following China's National Day holiday from 1-7 October. Three-month copper LME prices fell 0.7pc to $9,260/t, while Comex's next most active month copper contract dropped by 1pc to $4.25/lb.
