Britons still see major role for nuclear,says post-Fukushima poll

In an Ipsos-MORI poll, commissioned by the Nuclear Industry Association, three months later (five months after the events at Fukushima-Daiichi) it appears that the British public continues to see "a major role" for nuclear power plants as part of a balanced energy mix. It shows 68% of the public support nuclear as part of the UK's energy mix. The poll, now in its 12th year, is released annually in December. But the Nuclear Industry Association said it decided to test public opinion post-Fukushima and commissioned an extra summer poll.
