A stand-out segment in skin care over the past two years,at-home facial tools have thrived as consumers have taken treatments into their own hands.While manual tools such as gua sha and facial rollers had already gained favour in North America in 2018,the lockdowns of 2020-and consequent desire for consumers to seek tools to replicate human touch,bring sensorial moments into everyday routines,and relieve stress and tension from working from home lifestyles-propelled the rest of the world to catch up,says trend forecasting company WGSN."The pandemic has piqued consumer interest in at-home and touch-free beauty regimes,making manual facial tools an area of opportunity and innovation,"explains WGSN."Global penetration is now at 5.3% and the trend is becoming more mainstream among retailers."
