Heat Wave Heats China's AC Export

As the global economy has gradually recovered, overseas demand for air conditioners has started to rebound in the 2010 refrigeration year (RY, from August 2009 to July 2010), especially during the hot summer. In the mean time, the confidence of Chinese manufacturers began to recover as well. Though China's air conditioner export volume in 2010 RY has not reached the record high in 2007 RY, it has far exceeded the export volume in 2009 RY and approximately equaled to that of 2008 RY. It is estimated that China exported 36 million room air conditioners (RAC) in 2010 RY, a 31% increase compared with the 2009 RY.
