South Sudan and Equatorial Guinea to collaborate on oil and gas upstream, downstream and infrastructure projects

A NEW AGREEMENT has been signed between South Sudan and Equatorial Guinea to exchange information on policy and regulation, promote upstream, downstream and infrastructure projects; and collaborate between the national oil companies Nilepet and GEPetrol. South Sudan's government is attempting to develop its hydrocarbon sector despite ongoing civil and political unrest (see also, News, page 6, "Oranto's $500mn exploration").
