Chinese state-controlled ferro-tungsten producer Ganzhou JTG Tungsten (JTG) has suspended production for equipment maintenance, three months after it resumed output in the middle of January. JTG's suspension is expected to tighten spot availability until it resumes production in late June. The company, based in Ganzhou city in southeast China's Jiangxi province, has an output capacity of 3,000-3,500 t/ month for the noble alloy and accounts for around 40pc of China's total production. Jiangxi province is the country's largest tungsten production hub.
