China nickel: Sulphate steady on battery demand

Argus assessed nickel sulphate prices at 24,000-30,000 yuan/t ($3,386-4,233/t) ex-works today, unchanged from 30 April. Demand from the power battery sector, particularly from high-nickel-content battery producers, held flat this week. Large-scale producers mainly focused on fulfilling orders, while consumers enquired at around Yn24,000-25,000/t only for small volumes.
