A 21-day lockdown in South Africa will block metal exports from the country as ports minimise operations, allowing the movement only of essential goods. Exports of chrome and manganese ore produced in South Africa and Zimbabwe, as well as cobalt hydroxide exports from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) that is mainly transported through the Durban port, will be affecrted during the lockdown.
