China: Prices fall on weak demand

Ferro-molybdenum, ferro-tungsten and ferro-vanadium prices moved down on limited consumer demand, low tender prices from steelmakers, increased spot alloy supplies and a fall in feedstock costs. Lower tender prices from steelmakers and sufficient spot alloy supply pressured the market. Domestic prices for 60pc grade alloy fell to 103,000-106,000 yuan/t ($24.50-25.20/kg) ex-works today from the 12 March assessment of Yn105,000108,000/t ex-works. Export prices dropped to $24.60-25.10/ kg fob today from $25.50-26/kg fob on 12 March.
