摘要

If you do office tasks that require concentration and accuracy, your performance will increase as indoor pollution levels decline, indicates a review of findings from three independent studies in Denmark involving 90 women. In fact, the researchers found that for every 10% of people who cease to be dissatisfied with office air quality as it improves, overall productivity for typing, adding, and proofreading tasks increases an average of 1.5%. That average ratio held true so long as 25%-70% of the workers were dissatisfied with the indoor air quality (IAQ). Thus, if the percentage of office employees dissatisfied with the air quality decreased from 70% to 30% , the overall productivity could be expected to increase by 6%.
