US: Prices hold steady in thin trade

Bulk alloy prices were flat in the past week with trading activity subdued and most suppliers keeping offers unchanged in the face of sporadic inquiries.Prices for 65pc grade alloy with high carbon content were flat at $1.20-1.29/lb. A truckload of higher chrome-to-carbon alloy was purchased at $1.30/lb on an ex-works basis. Overall spot demand remained slow in the past week.
