UK car output falls in Nov, with record EV share

Car manufacturing in the UK fell by more than a quarter in November amid the continued global shortage of semiconductors, while electric vehicles took a record share of production, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has said. UK factories saw car production fall by 28.7pc on the year in November to 75,756 units, marking the fifth month of year-on-year declines and the worst-performing November since 1984.
