Output curbs pressure China’s October Mn ore imports

Chinese manganese ore imports in October fell by 20pc from a year earlier as continued energy supply restrictions in major alloy producing regions halted or reduced operations at most alloy plants and weighed on ore feedstock demand. But the easing of power shortages in the alloy production areas of Inner Mongolia and Guangxi encouraged more alloy plants and trading firms to raise their ore shipments to meet increased buying appetite.
