China: Cobalt, graphite prices rise

Cobalt prices climbed further today on higher feedstock costs and lower domestic output, while tight supply caused by the country's energy consumption curbs boosted graphite prices. Meanwhile, prices for silicon and magnesium - which surged in September to their highest levels since 2006 - continued to drop as lower consumer demand took its toll and production costs softened.
