摘要

Although imine metathesis has been extensively studied, how to take imine metathesis as a new way to generate racemates has never been achieved. In this work, it is the first report that chiral imines, such as (S)-1 and (R)-2 or (R)-1 and (S)-2, were used to produce two pairs of racemates via imine metathesis, when the metathesis reaction reaches its equilibrium state, in the presence of catalytic amounts of the amine employed to synthesize the corresponding chiral imines.
