Meet the Editorial Board Member

Melinda Madlena DMD (pediatric dentist and orthodontist) is presently serving as a Full Professor, Head of the Department of Oral Biology and Experimental Dental Research and Vice Dean for the Science University of Szeged, Faculty of Dentistry, Hungary. She obtained a C.Sc/Ph.D. degree in clinical medicine (preventive dentistry) in 1995 and a D.Sc degree in 2020, both from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. She obtained an MBA diploma in 2013 (Medical University of Debrecen, Hungary). Her university teaching activities include under- and postgraduate education for Hungarian and foreign students (teaching, exams) in the fields of pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, preventive dentistry, and oral biology. She has also been recognized with awards such as Hungarian Dental Association's "Kormoczy" Awards (1990, 1992, 1993, 1994), Preventive Scholarship of Unilever (University of Pennsylvania) (1998), IAPD (International Association of Pediatric Dentistry), "Bright smiles, Bright Future" award (1999), ORCA Travel fellowships (Ireland, The Netherlands) (1994, 1995), and Scientific scholarship of Hungarian Academy of Sciences. She is a member/board member of different scientific dental associations such as IADR (International Association for Dental Research), ORCA (European Organization for Caries Research), EAPDH (European Public Dental Health), and Hungarian Dental Association (HDA). Moreover, she is a reviewer and/or a member of the Editorial Advisory Board in a large number of international journals. She has contributed her valuable publications in different scientific journals.
