The reported number of EU foodborne disease outbreaks fell by 47% in 2020 when compared to the year before, according to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). On 9 December, EFSA published the EU One Health zoonosis report, which found campylobacteriosis was the most reported outbreak in the EU last year with 120,946 cases, but also down over 100,000 cases from 2019.
