Prolongation of Zhilishche state programme will in the medium term period be giving a substantial support to Russia.s construction sector. The state plans to invest RUR 50.9 million annually into the project in 2011-2012. However, housing construction will run slowly in these years: up 5-7% annually, to 64-67 million m2 per year. The growth in the construction works will be largely secured by the economy class residential property market segment, especially low-rise, the share of the segment expected to grow to 40% in 2011 and 50% in 2012.
