Data from US auto club AAA showed the national average price for regular-grade gasoline gained 1.3jzi/gal over the week ending June 25 to hit $3.086/gal. While the price was 91.5c/gal higher on the year, it was just 41.5c/gal higher than the pre-pandemic level of two years earlier. The national average price for E85 (85% ethanol and 15% petroleum-based gasoline) improved by 1.9jzi/gal from Friday to Friday to end the week at $2.599/gal. The Friday price was 60.9c/gal higher on the year but only 25.7;zi/gal higher than two years earlier. The national average diesel price strengthened by 1.0c/gal from the previous Friday to $3.229/gal. While the price was up on the year by 79.0c/gal, it was only 23.8cVgal higher than it had been two years earlier.
