US spot product prices mostly rose while Colonial was down

Outright prices in the West Coast market of Los Angeles (California) declined over the week ending May 14, but most of the other products covered here saw week-on-week increases amid supply disruptions related to the shutdown of Colonial Pipeline's main product pipelines through Wednesday. Data released on May 12 by the US EIA showed implied demand (reported as product supplied) for major petroleum products plunged by 11.21% over the week ending May 7. The EIA data also showed gross refinery inputs decreased by 126K b/d over the week ending May 7 to 15.572MM b/d, and IIR Energy estimated that US refiners increased their offline capacity from 775K b/d in the week to May 7 to 924K b/d in the week to May 14.
