US Remains a Net Importer in March

Exports of refined products from the US retreated below 5 million barrels per day for the second consecutive month in March as the country re-emerged as a net importer, government data show, with a combination of acute and structural developments hampering trade flows. According to the Energy Information Administration's (EIA) Petroleum Supply Monthly report (PSM), the world's largest economy shipped just under 5 million b/d abroad in March, almost flat with February levels. In contrast, January product exports were almost 5.6 million b/d, while March 2020 notched 6.1 million b/d.
