Enbridge Vows to Keep Line 5 Running

Midstream giant Enbridge will keep its Line 5 pipeline running in the absence of a court order to cease operations, despite Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s May 12 shutdown order. The company has been adamant that it will maintain flows on the 540,000 b/d line that ships crude and propane across Michigan’s Straits of Mackinac, with spokespersons and executives both stressing the need to keep the line in service.
