Trinidad and Tobago's LNG exports suffered a two-pronged collapse in 2020 in terms of both value and volume,mainly due to reduced energy demand amid the Covid-19 pandemic.And looking ahead,the country faces underlying gas supply issues,increased overseas competition and dependence on an obscure US law.Trinidad's downfall has had a limited effect on US LNG producers because the latter can't deliver to its key New England market: Boston's Everett import terminal in Massachusetts(NGW Jan.15'18).
