Brazilian potash spot price rise outpacing gains elsewhere

Potash spot prices in Brazil touched $350/t CFR this week for the first time since early June 2019, further demonstrating the gulf in sentiment that is persisting between some markets. Most noticeably, Brazilian granular MOP prices are now an average of $80/t higher than standard MOP prices in Southeast Asia. Brazil’s premium is just $3/t less than its highest ever level, which was recorded for just one brief week in September 2009.
