Ammonia strength reflected in Tampa $60/t increase

The rise in ammonia prices continues with Tampa taking centre stage this week. An increase of $60/t was achieved taking the February price to $330/t CFR. The Tampa benchmark increased after seeing prices move up for seven months in a row. Ammonia prices have been supported by strong demand east and west, supply outages, prospects of a very good spring application in the US and sharp price increases also being seen for phosphates and other nitrogen products such as urea and UAN.
