Cross-border potash rail shipments from Russia to China will halt from the start of May if buyers and suppliers fail to agree a new monthly price. Uralkali Trading (UKT) is said to be pushing Chinese importers to accept a big increase in the May rail price, possibly to a level above $247/t CPT, according to sources. The supplier confirmed negotiations were ongoing but declined to provide further details.
